Whatever It Takes: How the Avengers can Help Us Navigate the Pandemic
Last year, the Avengers showed us that we need to fight for every life that could be lost… whatever it takes.
So, the Avengers aren’t real. But that doesn’t mean we can’t learn from them.
Almost one year ago, we all got to see Avengers: Endgame. At least, I’m assuming we all saw it, based on the box office returns. And while that 3-hour movie is a perfect diversion during these “shelter in place” days (I’ve already watched Winter Soldier, Civil War, Age of Ultron, Infinity War, and Endgame in the time since we’ve been directed to stay home), I think we can also take a very important lesson from it during these troubling times.
Granted, we aren’t dealing with a mad Titan who has wiped away half of all life in the universe, but we are dealing with a very real and very dangerous virus that is spreading faster than wildfire. A virus that is estimated to kill thousands- possibly even millions- of Americans alone. It’s a scary situation, but it is also one we can help minimize.
