We Have All the Time in the World: A 007 No Time To Die Review
One final ride for Daniel Craig.
With the pandemic still dragging on, I’ve been picking and choosing which movies to sit in a crowded theater for and which ones to watch from the comfort — and safety — of my own home. Of course, Marvel movies like Shang-Chi and Eternals were theater outings for me — I wasn’t prepared to have an MCU flick spoiled for me before it hit Disney+ — but other big movies that I would have loved to see in theaters, like Dune and No Time to Die, were unfortunately relegated to my 55-inch television and couch.
It is, however, oddly fitting that I wrapped up Daniel Craig’s Bond series at home since that’s where it began for me; I never saw Casino Royale in theaters, but instead watched it as one of my free rentals when I worked at Blockbuster Video. Admittedly, this was also my first introduction to Bond as a character; up until then, I had never had any interest in seeing the other films. And I still haven’t; aside from Goldeneye, which I rented one day to finally see the origins of one of my favorite video games, I’ve never watched a single Bond movie that didn’t star Daniel Craig.
I think perhaps I wanted to keep myself focused on just one Bond and his story; since Casino Royale functioned well enough as a reboot and a fresh start, it didn’t…
