These Are A Few of My Favorite Things… from 2018

As Albus Dumbledore says in Chamber of Secrets, “Another year gone.” And what a year it’s been.

For me, it’s been a good year. I got a promotion, I’ve written more (and some of my best), and I even started my own photography website.

And for the things that I love- movies, books, TV, and music- there hasn’t been a better year yet in my lifetime.

Film:

2018 has been a phenomenal year for movies. I mean seriously.

Of course, with the MCU finally bringing us Avengers: Infinity War, we knew it would be big (and man, was that worth the wait). But before that even hit the theaters, Marvel proved themselves the king with Black Panther, which blew our minds. Even Ant-Man and the Wasp proved that Marvel cannot fail.

But Disney wasn’t all winners this year, and we learned- painfully- that Star Wars is not the invulnerable juggernaut that Marvel is; despite my love for Solo: A Star Wars Story, this latest adventure in a galaxy far, far away failed, and it took the rest of the…
