The same can definitely be said for iPhones and Android phones; many Android phones outclass even the latest iPhones in terms of specs, but Apple consistently delivers a better user experience. Before I wrote this, I was contemplating returning my Mac to pick up the Surface Laptop 3 becuase I could get better specs for less money, but the thought of losing this interconnected piece of the ecosystem kept the Mac on my desk. And I’m definitely glad that I can use the latest and greatest apps from companies like Google and Microsoft, and I love that it supports full versions of their programs. I always wanted to use Microsoft Word on my Chromebook but I wouldn’t for the simple fact that I had to settle either for the Word Online version or the app from the Play Store, and neither support all the features. For now, I’m trying to use Apple’s stock programs as much as I can, just to get the feel of how they work on the computer, but I already know that, just like on my iPad, I’m going to abandon Notes for Google Keep or OneNote, and I’ll probably abandon Safari for Chrome (but I’ll stick with Pages for now; I was already using it on my iPad over any other writing program).
