That is a very good point; from what I was able to see, I didn't see any discernable difference, though I have definitely heard that Iris Plus graphics are supposed to be the better choice. That said, in my testing I didn't have anything too graphics-heavy to throw at it; a few steam games but nothing more. Perhaps if you get into more taxing gaming or other tasks, or compare the chips when they are paired with more ram, you might then see more of a difference than I did.
