My Top 20 Movies… So Far
I love movies. But it’s been a while since I’ve considered what my absolute favorites are.
I’ve seen a lot of movies; when I worked at Blockbuster, I was accustomed to watching around five a week. I’ve gone to see multiple movies in the same day; I’ve seen the same movie multiple times in a day. I love to dissect them, discuss them, and revisit the ones I love time and time again.
But what are the movies that I love? It’s hard for me to put them in order on a list- and to choose an arbitrary number (like 20)- because I love so many, and for so many different reasons. And any such list is entirely fluid; it changes as frequently as movies are released.
That said, since I write movie reviews frequently, I think it is a good idea to let you- the reader- understand what movies I absolutely love with a passion that no amount of backlash would ever change my mind. So here they are; most are not in a particular order, except maybe the top 3. Enjoy.
Note: For the sake of sanity, I am limiting myself to one movie per franchise; I could easily fill this list entirely with the likes of Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings, but then I wouldn’t get to talk about all the other movies I love, too.
