My Top 15 Books of All Time… So Far
We all need something good to read. And as an aspiring author, I am often asked for book recommendations.
Since I recently did my top 20 movies, it only made sense to talk about my other favorite story-telling medium. I haven’t read nearly as many books as I wish I had, but when a book or a series speaks to me, it remains a part of me for years to come.
So, without further delay, here are my top 15 books of all time… so far.
As with my Top 20 Movies list, I will be restricting myself to one book per series, but my love for the series as a whole will also factor into it’s placement on this list.
№14: Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
Good Omens was my first experience reading either Neil Gaiman or Terry Pratchett. And what an experience. I was familiar with Gaiman from movies like Coraline and Stardust (I still have yet to read either of these books), and I’ve since discovered Pratchett’s Discworld, but this novel was exactly the perfect introduction to both authors. Good Omens does in one book what many fantasy stories try to accomplish in multiple volumes. It took a relatively simple concept- an angel and a demon losing track of the Antichrist right when the apocalypse is supposed to kick off- and it ran with it in every direction it…
