My iPad mini 6 May Have Developed a Fault
And it may have been my fault.
In just a short time, my iPad mini 6 has become my absolute favorite iPad ever; it is just powerful enough to do everything I would ever dream of doing on an iPad and it is just small enough that I can take it anywhere without feeling burdened.
It was a match made in heaven. Or at least, in Cupertino.
But last week, my undying love for the tablet was shattered just a little bit, because it stopped charging. Under normal circumstances, I plug in the USB-C cable and it — you know — charges. But last week, it did nothing at all when it was plugged in.

I tried three different USB-C cables, as well as three different power bricks (all Apple-made), and I tried them in three different outlets in three different areas of my house. None of them would charge the iPad mini. And just to be sure, I plugged in other USB-C devices, like my MacBook Air or my Pixel 4a; as expected, they charged just fine on all three cables/bricks/outlets.
At first, I thought that the issue was of my own doing; I’d sanitized my mini with a Lysol wipe after having it out and about (I’m still very OCD about this pandemic) and I thought maybe liquid got into the port and caused some havoc. I know the iPhone…
