Third time’s the Charm.
It is absolutely no secret that Harry Potter is my favorite franchise. The books will always and forever be my favorite books, the movies will always be some of my favorite movies. I proposed to my wife at the Wizarding World park in Orlando, and even our wedding was Harry Potter themed. I love this franchise.
When the seventh book came out, it felt like the closing of an important chapter. And when the eighth movie concluded, it felt like the end of an era. And you know, that’s fine; things end. All good things, really. Part of the journey is the end. And after that ending, I moved on to other things. I found other book franchises to fall in love with, like Skulduggery Pleasant and Shades of Magic, and I found other movie franchises to fill the space of a sprawling, multi-movie saga… namely, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (seriously, I think the Potter movie franchise paved the way for the MCU to exist).
But I always held out hope; Harry’s story had ended, but it felt like the door was left open for the Wizarding World to make a return, someday, somehow. And my love for it never waned; I continued to visit the parks in Orlando, I continued to watch the movies, I rediscovered the books in audiobook format, and I…
