So if you- like me- have looked at more than a plethora of computers, and you- like me- settled on the Surface Laptop 3 and then you- like me- woke up one morning to find that the Surface Laptop 3 was experiencing some horribly distracting coil whine, then you- like me- might have found yourself once more looking at a different computer.

Whew.

Granted, I had half a mind to return to the MacBook Air or the Pixelbook Go… but Best Buy didn’t have either in stock. I could have instead swapped out for another Surface Laptop 3, but alas, they didn’t have the one I wanted in stock either.

I considered the option to shell out extra for the Surface Book 3, but I didn’t think I needed all of that computer (and I didn’t want to shell out the extra $800 it would have cost me to get Surface Book 3 with a dedicated graphics card- which I figured was the only real reason to upgrade from the Laptop 3 to the Book 3 in the first place).

Luckily, there was another computer that I’d been keeping an eye on, one that I slowly remembered was in stock and just waiting for me to try it out. And naturally, as I do, I’m going to compare the…
